Internet search giant Google is rolling out a new feature to its Google Photos app that allows its users to mute videos — if they want — without reducing the volume levels to low on their smartphones, which is the case right now.
this feature isn’t specifically part of the new UI of the Google Photos app but people on the old UI have also see. while playing videos in Photos app, users will be able to see a new sound icon on the right side of the slider. Tapping on this icon will immediately mute the sound from the video and a second tap on it will bring it to the original level.Although not a very big feature, however the option to be able to mute videos directly does eliminate a few steps.
For those unaware, Google redesigned its Photos app with a new UI, icon and features last week.
In the latest layout, Google Photos has given more prominence to photos and videos by giving its users three tabs — Photos, Search and Library
